Dear Friend,
WELCOME TO LOTSA COMMUNITY WORKS
Featured this month:
Every day we are inspired by what the power of community can do. Beyond the many testimonials that express the emotional impact their Lotsa Helping Hands communities have had on the caregiver and those supporting them, there are the numbers: members have volunteered for almost 3.5 million tasks, including more than 1.7 million meals delivered and over 400,000 rides provided. Recently we added another valuable resource when we partnered with GiveForward to allow communities to raise funds for the often unexpected expenses that come with medical emergencies and long-term caregiving. In just a few weeks, nearly 50 families have raised more than $80,000!
We heard from people like the Loughlin’s, who set out to raise $50,000 to help pay for mom Debbie’s treatment for her Stage 3 breast cancer and her son Kyle’s recently diagnosed brain tumor. And the Foreman family is raising funds for their daughter, Jamie’s, fight against a rare lymphatic disease. GiveForward provides personal fundraising coaches to all members to help them reach their goals.
At the end of the day, this is what the power of community is all about: friends, family and loved ones coming together to support one another during a difficult time. If you are in a community today where the family being supported is facing financial struggles, consider trying GiveForward. We wish you and your Lotsa community all the best.
From our Community to yours,
Hal Chapel, Co-Founder & CEO
